Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs to host Saturday blockbusters at Gosford’s Industree Group Stadium in season 2024

Two of rugby league’s most famous clubs – the Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs – will each host a Saturday afternoon blockbuster at Industree Group Stadium as NRL footy returns to the Central Coast in a big way in 2024.

Adding to an action-packed footy schedule next season, the Sydney Roosters will also play two stand-alone NRLW fixtures at the waterfront Industree Group Stadium, that has become a home away from home for the Roosters in recent seasons.

The NRL Draw released today has confirmed the following matches for the Central Coast:

  • NRL Round 16 – Saturday 22 June, 5:30pm: Sydney Roosters v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs;
  • NRL Round 20 – Saturday 20 July, 3pm: South Sydney Rabbitohs v Wests Tigers;
  • NRLW Round 3 – Saturday 10 August, 11:05am: Sydney Roosters v Wests Tigers;
  • NRLW Round 8 – Sunday 15 September, 12 noon: Sydney Roosters v North Queensland Cowboys.

The Sydney v Sydney NRL games are certain to be played in front of heaving Saturday crowds at the 20,000-plus capacity Industree Group Stadium.

The Roosters v Bulldogs game last season went down to the wire and the Bulldogs are expected to be one of the big improvers in season 2024.

The Rabbitohs’ return to the Central Coast in 2024 promises to be a beauty against Benji Marshall’s Wests Tigers.

The Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs, both NRL foundation clubs, are eyeing significant fan engagement activities on the Central Coast in conjunction with these Saturday NRL blockbusters.

The NRL and NRLW matches add to a burgeoning rugby league calendar at Industree Group Stadium in 2024.

Footy fans will not have to wait long to see their first rugby league action on the Central Coast will three pre-season matches also confirmed for the Coast.

February will feature three pre-season games, with the Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs again hosting matches, along with the Newcastle Knights – the latter as part of a huge double-header.
