“We are thrilled to unite with McGrath Foundation this year. We are proud to be raising vital funds and awareness for the McGrath Foundation and for the incredible Breast Care Nurses who work tirelessly to provide support to those families facing breast cancer. Our Mariners Partners, Industree Group and Star FM will be joining forces with our Club to paint our match days pink in solidarity.” said Mariners Chief Operating Officer, Alyssar Narey.

The Isuzu UTE A-League Pink Round will be held on STAR 104.5 matchday, Sunday April 20th against Adelaide United.

Mariners are proud to share that their official radio partner will be the front of jersey sponsor for our Isuzu UTE A-League Pink Round fixture for the second season in a row.

In keeping with tradition, the jersey’s worn during both matches will be signed and auctioned, with 50% of all profits going to the McGrath Foundation.

In the lead up and throughout the games there will also be numerous other methods of fundraising, which Mariners fans are encouraged to support.

About the McGrath Foundation

The McGrath Foundation’s mission is to ensure that no one goes through breast cancer without the care of a breast care nurse.

They raise money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses right across Australia and invest in their professional development to ensure people with breast cancer receive the highest standard of care.

McGrath Breast Care Nurses are registered nurses specially trained to manage the care of people with breast cancer from diagnosis and throughout treatment – for free.

There are 223 McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia who have supported more than 137,000 families since 2005.

Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer for women in Australia and more than 20,000 people are diagnosed each year.

With a rising rate of diagnosis, the need for more McGrath Breast Care Nurses continues to grow.

Funding from the community helps ensure that nurses can continue providing free support to families impacted by breast cancer right across Australia.
