It’s Mariners versus Jets in a Round 1 A-League Blockbuster at Central Coast Stadium

The Central Coast Mariners will open the 2022/23 Isuzu Ute A-League men’s season with a Saturday evening blockbuster home game against Newcastle Jets at Central Coast Stadium on Saturday 8 October.

The official A-League draw was released today with the Mariners allocated 13 home games at Central Coast Stadium. See the full Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s Draw here.

The clash with the neighbouring Jets at 5pm on a Saturday will ensure a bumper first-round crowd at home.

The Mariners will  take on reigning champions Western United on Saturday 29 October (venue TBC) before key home games at Central Coast Stadium against NSW rivals Macarthur Bulls (3pm, Sunday 13 November) and Sydney FC (5pm, Saturday 17 December) prior to Christmas.

A huge New Year’s Eve game against Melbourne Victory is slated for Round 10, with kick-off time to be confirmed.

The A-League draw reveal comes in a big week for the Mariners who have just announced the signing of former Western Sydney Wanderers defender Nectarios Triantis to a three-year deal, plus confirmed that midfielder Harry Steele will stay in yellow until at least 2025.

The new deals for Triantis and Steele align with the Mariners’ strategy of signing young players on long-term contracts.

Head Coach Nick Montgomery is building an exciting squad with a nice mix of youth and experience and the countdown is now on to the new Isuzu Ute A-League men’s competition kick-off.
