The Central Coast Mariners have stunned Adelaide United 1-4 in Adelaide to finish second on the Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s Ladder, and in doing so they have locked in a home Semi-Final at Industree Group Stadium on Saturday 20 May.
The Mariners are likely to face Adelaide United or Wellington Phoenix in the two-leg Semi-Final, with the Mariners getting the advantage of a home second-leg match on 20 May.
The final standings of the A-League table will be confirmed on Sunday (30 April), but the Mariners’ home Semi-Final is secure. They will play the first leg away from home on the weekend of 12-13 May before the huge match before local fans at Industree Group Stadium on Saturday 20 May (7:45pm kick-off).
Central Coast Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp said: “This is a massive achievement by everyone at the club. A-League Semi-Finals and AFC Cup here we come. Exciting times for everyone on the Central Coast – and this is just the start!”
Tickets will go on sale to the General Public from 12noon Tuesday 9 May through Ticketek.
Industree Group Stadium Members will have a semi-final ticket included in their Stadium Membership and will be contacted next week.
Central Coast Mariners Members will be contacted by the club in the coming days with information on how to reserve their same seat for the match and for further pre-sale opportunities.
By finishing second behind Melbourne City, the Mariners have also secured a place in the 2023/24 AFC Cup, with important matches to be scheduled for Industree Group Stadium.
